Why Pakistan is not a nation

    Pakistan has been a state since 1947, but is still not a nation. It is a land and a people inside a certain geographical boundary that is still lacking the crucial components needed for nationhood: a strong common identity, mental make-up, a shared sense of history and common goals. The failure so far to create a cohesive national entity flows from inequalities of wealth and opportunity, absence of effective democracy and a dysfunctional legal system.

    This temporary rift among Pakistani nation by the elite rulers for their own sake of Power.
    But when its come saome hard time Pakistan stands against it as one nation....
    Things looking are so temporary here and should not be taken serious...

    Actually my response had nothing to do with "Islam". But then, we know you have a habit of misusing that label ;-)

    (Now if you claim you have no hidden agenda in every post would be...well...truly un-Islamic ;-) That there is something sticking way up your @SS, of that there is no doubt)

    Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    I have this nagging "feeling" ALLAH ALMIGHTY wishes/plans to give "rise" to Pakistan, give "meaning" to Pakistan as a nation, as a representative of Muslims at the time when non-Muslims go for world government. And not before that time.

    In that Pakistan + Afghanistan + Iran will stand together, perhaps united against it from ALLAH ALMIGHTY's/Islam's side.

    ALLAH ALMIGHTY "miraculously" "allowed" creation of Pakistan at the time Israel came into being. There's more to Pakistan, than meets the eye.

    Pakistan is an artificial state created by the british.

    It is composed of many nations. It is not a nation itself.

    Why Pakistan is not a nation ?

    To answer that question, we need to find out, "what is a nation" ? I don't have an answer to this question right now.

    I'll need to delve into Islam to find out answer to this question.

    Pakistan has never been a nation and will never be a nation in the future. All ethnic groups hate each other; Punjabis and non-Balochis are getting killed in Balochistan.

    How can be a nation.
    Liaqat Ali Khan killed in Rawalpindi.
    Hussain Shaheed Sohrwardi killed in Beirut.
    Z.A.Bhutto killed in Rawalpindi.
    Shahnwaz Bhutto killed in Paris.
    Mir Murtaza Bhtto killed in Karachi.
    Akbar Bugti killed in Baluchistan.
    Benazir Bhutto killed in Rawalpindi.
    These all were A grade,Thousands from B and C grade politicians.
    Common among them........just find.
    And killer is only one.

    the only real nation of Pakistan was that of 1947. the majority "muslim" nation of Quaid that was together.

    now we are not a nation...
    Pakistan has been ideologically defeated and broken. it will take some guts for many to realize that as emotions will naturally creep in, understandable indeed.
