    @ siddi,
"I hope you don't mean the great numbers enrolled as fans on the Facebook? That actually won't count."

Irony is that you even don't have that, let alone any real voters. All your fake votes are gone already, and the newly registered votes of youth are mostly (if not all) are PTI votes.

I fully agree with Mangoman and other PTI supporters. If we want change then we must distance PTI from ALL status quo parties like PPP and PML. It will be no less than a disaster to make an alliance with any of the status quo parties!

There is no doubt that PPP will gain a strong share despite this govts failures.

The reason is, performance does not matter!
PPP has set up a system since a long time where they gain easy bogus votes in their areas. It is a very feudal minded system where masses are made to vote for them through corruption and pressure tactics. There is no shortage of landlords and waderas in PPP and their influence will continue in all of Pakistan's elections until the spineless middle class rises.

Imran Khan will definitely gain some seats, but not a sweeping mandate like he claims. I think he is exagerrating too much when he says the youth will support him.

My dear Pakistanis,"Imran Khan" is gaining popularity in Pakistan and many new politicians are joining PTI.For example:Malik Sohail Khan has joined PTI; he got 59,000 votes against Pervaiz Elahi who got 71,000 votes in NA-58 Attock. There is a difference of 12,000 votes. But now all those parties which are ruling Pakistan are not in the good book of People because there is no one safe.Dearness is going high and high.

Syed Ahmad Mahmood is on line to join PTI; he is king maker Sadiqabad district.Sitting MNA,Jehangir Khan Tarren was elected by the votes of Syed Ahmad Mahmood.

Present ruling parties:PPP,PML(Q),PML(N),MQM,ANP and JUI(F) will find a great difficulty in getting as much seats as they have at present in National Assembly.

Ruling govts in all the provinces have failed in protecting the people of Pakistan and this is the failure of ruling parties.

If Imran Khan keeps on his efforts , he will succeed in his purpose.

How pmlq defeated ppp and other parties in balochistan in 2008? Do you think that anti bugti baluchis voted pmlq as a reward to Musharraf for killing bugti?

Ik has said he will form no coalition and may do seat adjustments but he will form government by himself or will sit in opposition.

Noon walay are hopeless in forming coalitions. Q-league will most likely reduce to ten seats in national assembly and anp about the same. That really leaves zardari, anp, fazlur, q-league and probably mqm i-e current ruling coalition will form government in next term. Any other coalition setup will most likely fall apart within a year and a half.

pml-n has the worst track record with coalition partners, they will not last more then 2 years in coalition setup. Secondly, it's always easy to buy out pml (a-z) members as most of them are more of personal interest driven then the ideology.

If pti/IK make a coalition government that will not last longer either. In coalitions lead party need to accommodate their small coalition partners right or wrong. If he would not be able to do so, coalition partners will move to opposition, if IK do so then all the "inqalab" will drain down the toilet.

If Zardari survived the establishment politics, I would not be surprised to see him ruling for another five years. He master the coalition politics and will continue the same practice no matter what happen to the country.

If the nation goes crazy then I am sure PPP will win 2013 elections.

    Posted 3 months ago on 20 Feb 2012 16:48 #
  17. It is not about nation's craziness, It is about other options. There is very little difference in present leadership of all parties.

PPP has one extra negative thing. They are in government and their performances is not to the expectations of Pakistani peoples. plus, as usual, most media is anti PPP. But it does not mean that other parties has open field in next election.

The only reason that I think PPP will win next elections, is because of the bogus vote campaign.

That is the only way!, however the other badshah of rigging of votes Nawaz Sharif this time will not allow it, because he will try to make sure that more votes are rigged into his favour.

    Posted 3 months ago on 20 Feb 2012 20:55 #
  20. Pechaly tamam elections ke doraan hamesha PPP mukhalaf government rahi hien. PPP is only party which won election without government powers.

Noon league both times won elections with ISI and establishment help.

It make no sense to blame PPP for rigging election.

Of course. 1977 elections were the most "free and fair elections" in the history of Pakistan. LOL !!!!

    Posted 3 months ago on 21 Feb 2012 18:51 #
  22. 1977 election, there was no mass rigging from government. All independent analysts were projecting PPP to win that elections with big margin. Even common peoples on street knew that PPP is winning. PPP government did not need any rigging. There might be individual rigging from candidates from both sides. That is normal in third world countries.

Buttho Dushmans will always blame that rigging because otherwise they have to accept guilty for that martial Law and judicial murder of great leader.

It was 1977, not 1277 that you can spread such white lies and no one would notice.

Even at the height of its popularity in 1970 elections, PPP won 38% of votes while the remaining 62% votes were divided among many other parties. In 1977, all these parties combined to form an alliance (PNA), thus making it impossible for PPP to win. PPP's popularity had significantly reduced as a result of 5 years of its fascist rule in which national economy was destroyed through nationalization, nation suffered worst food shortages and political opponents were kidnapped and killed.

Even if it is somehow assumed that PPP's popularity remained at the same level as 1970, even then it could not statistically win in 1977 as the opposing 62% vote had become unified.

This is why Bhutto regime had to resort to massive rigging, the likes of which were never before and after seen in Pakistan. Many opposition candidates were kidnapped before submitting their nomination papers thus paving the way for "unopposed" victory of PPP candidates. On most of the seats where actual voting took place, PPP ghundas occupied polling stations and took away ballot boxes of PNA candidates. All international observers declared those elections as total fraud.

You can get a glimpse of upcoming elections from Senate elections.

All candidates will be selected unopposed.

It will be stupid, if we believe that 62% votes which all 52 anti-PPP political parties got in 1970, all gone to one PNA alliance in 1977 elction.

All other things you mention are just(rata-rataya) Propaganda, which started Bhutto Dushmans and Zia-ul-Haq for Character assassination of great Bhutto. It does not worth to argue with Bhutto dushmans on these things. This propaganda is based on hate and lies.

History has proven Bhutto the great. Even today All nation is benefiting from His achievements.

The 9 parties that joined to form PNA in 1977 accounted for 57% of votes polled in 1970 as compared to PPP's 38% votes. There was no way in hell that PPP could win if fair elections were held in 1977. Bhutto knew it pretty well but just as he preferred to let Pakistan divide in 1971 instead of sitting in opposition, he chose to rig the elections instead of gracefully accepting defeat.

As for the "rata-rataya" propaganda, I guess opponents of PPP like Dr. Nazeer and Khawaja Rafiq (Saad Rafiq's father) must have decided to shoot themselves in the head to perpetuate this propaganda, otherwise Bhutto was such a 'gentleman' that he could never imagine to harm any of his opponents. Similarly, Ahmed Raza Qasuri must have killed his own father and Malik Suleman of Sialkot must have kidnapped his own daughters just to malign Bhutto.

History has certainly proven that Bhutto was a fascist thug, a murder and narcissist dictator who was rightly hanged for his crimes. "A" nation is certainly benefiting from his achievements but that nation is Bangladesh not Pakistan. In fact Bangladesh should declare Bhutto as its father of nation as he was the one most responsible for creation of Bangladesh.

PPP is likely to win the elections of 2013. The arch rival of PPP is PML-N. Growing popularity of PTI will share a lot of votes from the vote banks of PML-N. The only way to defeat PPP is to make an alliance of PTI, PPP and MQM. A combined alliance of these three parties may be able to defeat PPP.

    @Hussain,

Not clear enough what you want to say, whom to defeat with whom alliance.

Also think, Khan Sahib's rhetorical uni-directional bashing on Nawaz, is pushing the supporters back to N League.

PTI would bag around 130-140 seats .. 100-110 in Punjab .. 30-35 in KPK.

If JI can add something substantial to the mix, it would be a government: read marriage of convenience.

  32. "PTI will not grab more than 10 seats in punjab . plz accpet my bet if u have dare ."

I think 10 seats for PTI from Punjab is too optimistic. There are no such signs on the ground. I would like some PTI strategists to identify where exactly are they going to win. Remember Jazi Khan in Rawalpindi and some other guy in Lahore by-elections! And, of course, their flight from Multan elections, even after recruiting biggies like Hashmi and Qureshi!

Bro, its Zaheer Khokhar who is a quintessential lota as a lota can get! As far as strategists are concerned, most of them operate under EST zone and will be coming out of their caves shortly.

bro PTI cud win some rural halqas . PTI cud win a seat each frm attock, sargodha, kushab, vehari and shikupura. and may be from rural faisalbad and offcourse PTI cud win frm NA128 and 129. they cud also win NA 152 multan. so all in all i quess PTI wil end with round abt 8 to 10 na seats frm punajb. but one thing is sure k PTI wil not win a singal seat frm urban halqas of punjab.
