Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
@Mirza Ghalib: ..and let me talk about MULLAH going against Iqbal, Mr. Jinnah part.
I have already addressed this point, but I guess I haven't used my words with enough clarity to make people understand.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
There were three types of MULLAH at the time of partition;
(1) Who opposed Pakistan movement, who agreed with the idea of united India
(a) Some of these people sold their loyalty to India
(b) Some of these people negated the idea of acquiring a 'nation state' because it would weaken Muslims. A 'nation state' encourages divide, competition, intense rivalry, ALL of which we have seen in Pakistan, since it was created
Islam teaches Muslims;
(i) to unite
(ii) unity is strength
(iii) division is death
(iv) moving out of the flock means certain death
(v) those who move out of the Muslim UMMAH are exploited!(2) Those who opposed Pakistan movement, but didn't agree with the idea of united India
(a) These people were not sellouts to India
Its just like you and me differing on a certain point, in a discussion.
This is where JI stood. JI's people differed with Iqbal, Mr. Jinnah at an intellectual level. Its not like Maulana Maududi or those who agreed with him, they were bent on killing Iqbal and Jinnah.
(b) First, same point, A nation state. It would harm interests of Muslims in the long term. Which I have already stated above. If you can visualize, you can see what Maulana Maududi saw at that time.
(c) Maulana Maududi said, even if Muslims succeeded in acquiring this 'nation state', there wasn't anyone in PML who had the knowledge or the will to implement Islami Nizam
By saying this, Maulana Maududi didn't declare Iqbal or Jinnah or the people under their banner as Kafir. They simply mentioned the bitter facts of the time.
Do we see Islami Nizam in Pakistan today ? Obviously no.
(d) Maulana Maududi agreed, acquiring the 'nation state' would give Muslims freedom from Hindus'. FREEDOM is what every Muslim struggled for, when they struggled for Pakistan. FREEDOM is the reason why millions of Muslims migrated to Pakistan
For Muslims, the freedom to live their lives according to Islam was what they needed, what they wanted.
(e) After! Muslims acquired this freedom, they were given a golden chance by ALLAH ALMIGHTY, so they could live their lives in peace, for the sole reason to implement Islami Nizam, to live their lives according to Islam
Unfortunately, these people betrayed Islam, betrayed their promise/covenant with ALLAH ALMIGHTY, stopped living their lives according to Islam.
(f) A nation state was not the ultimate result which Iqbal had envisioned. The ultimate result which Iqbal envisioned was;
(i) Revival of Muslim UMMAH
(ii) Restoration of Muslim UMMAH to its former glory, powerAcquiring a nation state was just the first step in the move towards that direction.
(3) Those who supported Pakistan movement
These people openly supported Iqbal and Jinnah. They understood the importance of FREEDOM. They also understood what it meant to remain in India. It meant continued slavery, subjugation. It meant, they would be dealt in such a way that they would finally have to let go of Islam, which is not acceptable to any Muslim.

Hang on, man, I'm no adolescent, me. And neither are all the Zaid Hamid supporters I know. A cheap propaganda stunt that's all it is, this constant repetition that Zaid Hamid can only make sense to the innocent and the experienced.

@hariskhan
I understood and applauded your comment at 10:36. Your further comment at 11:00 I do not agree with at all. By comment 11:04, I no longer understood what you were referring to.
Never mind. We can go on like this till the cows come home and get no way. So we must agree to differ. Me in one camp and you and the consensus bloggers in the other. Too bad.

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
@Salam: No, I did not know that.
@Mirza Ghalib: Differing on something does not make us rivals. Its healthy to differ.

haris
yes, he was first exposed by JI because a JI member's brother was a victim of this fraud
the tussle is going on since long, recently when he tried to give speech at IIUI (dominated by jamiat) he was heckled at and he left without giving speech

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
@Salam: What I understand very clearly about Jamiat is that;
(a) they will protect the ideology of Muslims
(b) No matter if they commit crimes. They will attempt to protect Muslims from being converted into non-MuslimsIn videos on the thread about Jamiat, it is mentioned by people that it was impossible for a Muslim to practice Islam when Pakistan was first created. They weren't even allowed to pray at that time.

No, I take that back. A technical problem occurred with my PC.
Thank you for explaining the position of the Mullahs in occupied India. It was a model of clarity. I do understand better now.
And in reply have this to say: You think Allah Tala does not understand the harsh effects of colonialism and its even more virulent version neo-colonialism? And what are sixty-odd years in the eyes of history? We have broken no promise to God. We never would.
The Umma is there. Daily one feels it growing. Are we in Pakistan (or perhaps simply on this blog) the only ones not to feel its returning strength?

And, hariskhan, no way would I ever consider a fellow-Muslim defending opposing views a rival or, worse still, an enemy. I may deplore their ignorance or whatever. But they remain my brothers and sisters, above all. No hard feelings whatsover, be sure of that.

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,
Well, people are in deep shape right now. AND its ALL because Islami Nizam is not implemented. Shaitani Nizam (or Western System or Colonial System) is implemented.
Look at the state's;
(1) political situation
(2) financial policies
(3) justice system
(4) social values
(5) education system
(6) decision/will as far as 'self reliance' is concerned
(7) defense apparatus, activities of defense apparatus
(8) state institutionsDoes any of them conform to Islam's standards ?
You will find little that came from Islam in the current system. That of Islam, which is present has been either circumvented or sidelined.
The state of Pakistan is not representative of its people's individual or collective will, right now.

I wholly concur. Hear, Hear!

1. Somebody rightly pointed out about him that he says what people want to hear.
2. I hate him when he says" Qomon ko chotain lagti rehti hain. Hamara mashriqi hissa alaihda hua, koi baree baat naheen." Mr. Zaid Hamid, ask any patriotic Pakistani, how much grief he feels on this separation. Mr. Hamid "Yeh chhoti baat naheen, yeh baree hi baat hai"
3. He talks about Ghazwa e Hind. On what basis? And let's assume that he is serious about it. Then is he himself going to try to be KHALIFA and leading this war? Is he preparing his own army or he wants Pak army to help him or work under his rule (as he often praises army)?
4. A demagogue getting popularity due to vacuum in the leadership.

Zaid Hamid is DOING a FANTASTIC work at the moment. Much more needed of that sort. I appreciate him and wish he should continue it.
