    http://oolaah.com/ Turkey and Pakistan agreed this week to undertake a US$20 billion project to upgrade a railway link from Islamabad to Istanbul, basically to transport cargo more efficiently between the two countries and ultimately on to Europe.

    Zardari never misses a good chance to plunder Pakistan. He will have his 10% in this deal too.

  2. Never mind the Zardari cut, so long as that railway is modernised and maintained.

    I believe, there's enough evidence to hang Mr. Zardari many times over. It should be done once and for all.

  5. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    Whoever has committed crimes, should pay for it. That is the only way to maintain sanity within society. Otherwise, its goodbye to prosperity for this nation for a long long time. With the state we are in, we may even loose our sovereignty (ALLAH save us).

    @runaway If there is improved rail for trade, then the economy will improve and people will have more employment and easier access to atta, sugar, water, etc etc etc.

  11. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    @New Pakistan: I don't agree with allowing a certain ammount of crime to support trade when there is no 'need' for it.

    Crime should be discouraged, rather than allowed to flourish.

    @new Pakistan

    Pakistan Railways is on the verge of collage.
    Lahore and Karachi need Mass Transit projects

    There are plenty of other projects to provide employment

    On another note, govt cut development spending by 30%

    MNA wants plots.. Army gets 20% increase in salaries.

    What is this nonsense !!!

    If Pakistan Turkey railway track is vital for improving trade then Pakistan China railway track would be two times important then that in improving trade why dont Zardari start looking at that project why Pakistan and Turkey and not Pakistan and China and even better how about trans Afghanistan Pakistan link that would be vital for even Russian and Pakistani economy as well....

    @hariskhan I never defended any amount of crime. Why are you trying to put words into my mouth? Please stop this. You obviously have nothing intelligent to say.

    @runaway I don't think you understand how economics works. We cannot improve the economy by paying ourselves to dig trenches. There must be some trade. Obviously there is more than one thing that needs to be done, but increased international trade will make it possible to improve all the things that you mention. Look at countries that try to have an isolated economy like North Korea. It is horrible for the people there. If we want to grow our industries to give more people employment so that they can earn a good salary to take care of their family then we need to make it easier to get our goods to the world markets.
