Gaza: 900 and Counting

Israeli assault on Gaza continued for the seventeenth day with new accusations of war crimes (see Israel using phosphorus bombs over populated areas, Israel testing “extremely nasty” weapon: Norwegian doctors, and even WSJ chipping in “Israel is committing War Crimes”). The death toll has now passed 900. And this is not counting the injured many of whom have suffered “most horrific” injuries with hospitals full of patients whose lives have been in many instances really destroyed, and they’re alive.” Meanwhile, Israel finally admitted “No Hamas rockets were fired during ceasefire”, but continued killing civilians with the aim of not only murdering people belonging to Hamas but their entire families as policy for they see it “as the only solution to ‘decrease the terror’ of revenge against Israel.” Israel has also given green light to target the Red Cross ambulances using the excuse “they are carrying members of the Palestinian resistance.”

As this political and moral insanity continues, some are asking if this is the start of the new hundred year war — “A Clean Break” of sorts?  This moral and military meltdown of Israel shows their “addiction as a society to the illusion of violence-as-power has reached the level of collective mental illness.” “The effects of the latest violence perpetrated against Palestinians upon the collective Israeli soul is incalculable” but will anyone save Israel from itself? Certainly not Obama.
