At the height of Raymond David saga, news came that the Head of Pakistan Muslim League (Noon), Nawaz Sharif has been rushed to a London hospital after a chest pain. Shahbaz Sharif, the Chief Minister of Punjab not only confirmed the news but rushed to London to see his brother. Other Sharifs followed. Many had been skeptic of this news right from the beginning. Now the critics claims that this story has cast a deep shadow on main stream politics and that Pakistan has entered into a new paradigm of “Sickened Heart Politics” from the conventional empathy politics of “Shaheeds”.
Citizens of pkpolitics.com could not find any records of Nawaz Sharif’s Cardiac treatment in any of hospitals in London. It was reported that Nawaz Sharif had under gone an Angioplasty procedure in St. Mary Hospital in Paddington. But this hospital does not perform any elective or emergency Angiogram or Angioplasty. All cardiac patients are referred to their sister hospital, Imperial College Healthcare trust (Formerly known as Hammersmith Hospital). Both hospitals do not have any record of Nawaz Sharif’s treatment. Furthermore, the sequence of reported medical events and the story of extraordinary blood loss during the surgery do not fit together medically. Opinion maker, Ata Ullah Qasmi has discovered a new arrhythmia associated with an enlarged artery of heart!
Even Najam Sethi in his program “Apas Ki Baat” reported that Nawaz Sharif was found in his favourite luxury restaurant of Harrods department store enjoying an angioblastic lunch right after the purported sickness.
Remember, Zardari’s American Psychiatrist gave him a certificate of Dementia to avoid Swiss court appearance. Now, wait for a certificate from a Nawaz Sharif’s Cardiologist to ramp up the public opinion. Op-eds have already started to boast up the popularity graphs.
